2) RED-HEADED VULTURE (Scarcogyps calvus)

The photograph of this vulture was taken by me with the camera Nikon Cool-pix at Salang Valley, which is few kilometers away from Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India. 

I guess this vulture is Red-Headed Vulture as its neck and above is red. It may be a juvenile as it is browner.

If identification of this bird is incorrect then please correct me.

The place where it was photographed had the smelt of rotting carcass. 

Anyway, it is  a vulture. It was a sighting by chance and my first attempt at photographing a Vulture.

The Red-Headed Vulture is in second spot in my listing of birds sighted by me
